Learn techniques to stabilize eroding streambanks, improve water quality, and protect adjacent land and infrastructure.
There will be parking available onsite. Presented by Tess Thompson Associate Professor, Extension Specialist Biological Systems Engineering at Virginia Tech.
What You’ll Learn:

  • Stream processes and basic assessment techniques
  • Maintenance, monitoring, and long-term success strategies
  • Bioengineering and nature-based stabilization methods
  • Project design basics and material selection
